On November 30th, the Minnesota Force went to Dave & Buster’s for dinner, drinks, and to play games! We had a great turnout and had a ton of fun!
This fall, the Minnesota Force lost one of our beloved members, Karen Madsen, to an 18-year battle with blood cancer. In her honor, we started a group called A Force for Karen. Our first event was a blood drive on November 17th. She relied on blood transfusions, and often spoke to the importance of donating blood. Our goal was 22 pints, and we surpassed our goal!
On October 28th, the Minnesota Force appeared at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church‘s Trunk or Treat!
On October 27th, the Minnesota Force marched in the Anoka Halloween Parade. We had a wonderful time (as always) and the weather was pretty much perfect for our costumes.
We also won third place for best non-royalty float!
Costumers for a Cause purchased a bunch of Halloween costumes after Halloween last year (probably close to 200 of them). We went to Children’s Hospital on October 24th to give away costumes to kids in the hospital and their families, and in a little over an hour, we donated 70 costumes! The next day, Costumers for a Cause went to Hallie Q. Brown Community Center and gave away even more costumes there. We made so many kids happy!
